Allison joined Oceana in December 2015 as the Web Editor, and became the Editor in October 2016. A lifelong lover of all things oceanic, Allison is thrilled to be applying her writing background to support Oceana’s campaigns and outreach. Previously, Allison worked at the Rights and Resources Initiative in Washington, DC, and at the Next Nature Network in Amsterdam. She received a BA in environmental studies from Yale University and an MA in new media from the University of Amsterdam.
Allison has loved fish—both as friends and as food—since she was two years old, when her neighbor shared a freshly caught rainbow trout. While she thinks all marine life is wonderful, her favorite fish at the moment are bluestreak cleaner wrasses.
