This position reports to the Data Systems Manager, assisting with tasks including, but not limited to: user management, maintaining/creating reports and dashboards, new employee systems training, troubleshooting, system template updates, and daily systems helpdesk support. The Data Systems Intern will receive constant hands-on training and guidance to perform their job responsibilities. This is a 6-month paid internship based in Washington, DC. 

The ideal candidate is anticipating or has recently received a bachelor’s degree in the IT field, or certification program in a cloud-based data system. This candidate will have knowledge or experience of cloud-based data systems (NetSuite, Salesforce, ADP, Nexonia, etc.). Required competencies for this position are action oriented, collaborative, effective communication, resourcefulness, and techy savvy.

Oceana’s US offices have operated on a hybrid schedule and staff have been required to work from their assigned office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. With agreement between the employee and their supervisor, the employee may work from home Monday and Friday.
