Project Management Intern

Oceana seeks an Intern to work closely with the Save the Oceans, Feed the World team. The intern will assist on a variety of projects including scheduling, travel logistics, researching, correspondence, expense reports and data and budget management. The intern is a key player in the successful operation of the Save the Oceans, Feed the World team and continued development of the initiative.            

Qualifications:

  • Working towards or completed Bachelor’s degree
  • Able to assist with logistical and planning tasks
  • Can prioritize assignments with input from supervisor in fast paced environment
  • Organized working style with great attention to detail while being able to maintain a big picture view of overall team goals and priorities
The ideal candidate will have:

  • Excellent computer skills including experience with the Microsoft Office suite, Dropbox, Skype, booking travel online and web based research
  • Good writing and communication skills; experience copy editing a plus
  • Ability to speak an additional language such as Spanish or Portuguese is a plus
  • Energy, enthusiasm, and positivity
  • Ability to work independently on discrete projects
  • Willingness to perform additional duties as needed and/or assigned

 

This is a paid internship. Oceana accepts interns who receive academic credit for their internship. Both recent graduates and graduate students are encouraged to apply.
