Living in New Orleans during the Deepwater Horizon oil spill disaster, Andrew became very aware of the dangers of offshore drilling on people and the environment. Now he has an opportunity to work on offshore drilling and offshore wind issues at Oceana as an Energy Analyst on the Climate and Energy Team. Joining Oceana in September 2013, Andrew is helping to forge a promising and sustainable future through promoting clean energy generation.
Prior to joining Oceana, Andrew worked in the Government Affairs department at the Environmental Working Group in Washington, DC. Before graduate school, Andrew taught middle school math for three years in New Orleans, LA through the Teach For America program. Andrew holds a Master in Environmental Management degree from Duke University, and he earned his bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and Environmental Economics and Management from the University of Georgia.
