Cristián Gutiérrez is an economist from the Catholic University, holding a Master's Degree in Economics and Public Policy from the Adolfo Ibañez University. For 7 years he's been working on environmental protection, management of natural resources and promoting sustainable development. He played roles in the Department of Studies Terram Foundation, conducting studies and research relating to the topics of poverty, globalization, sustainability and the role of tax policy for a fair and sustainable development.
Currently serves as Oceana campaigner for South American Office, coordinating actions on environmental conflicts related to intensive salmon farming in southern Chile and the overexploitation of fisheries resources, as well as generating projects of marine conservation in the Chilean Patagonia.
