I have a degree in Marine Sciences and throughout my professional career, I have specialised myself in Geographic Information Technology.
It is a privilege for me to be able to contribute my experience, like a small grain of sand, to increasing the knowledge of the oceans and protecting this environment, one to which humanity is indebted and about which we know so little.
Until recently, the oceans were a mystery. Charts were used only to help ships navigate in the vast waters and maps included beautiful drawings of marine beasts that filled the void that was our knowledge of this environment. Today, we are living in the Information Era and all the technology we have developed should be used to research and defend our oceans and seas. It is our responsibility.
