Dolphinfish Coryphaena hippurus
With its shimmering colors, a dolphinfish leaping clear of the water is a spectacular sight. Metallic blues and greens cover its back and sides, grading into white and yellow on the underside. A fast ocean-dwelling fish, it is powered by a long, forked tail, with a single elongated dorsal fin providing stability. Also known as the dorado, the dolphinfish is a valuable market fish.
