Oceana in Copenhagen

Oceana made a splash at the U.N. Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen. Watch the following videos of our work to get the word out about the effect of climate change and ocean acidification on the oceans. Also be sure to check out campaigner Jackie Savitz's blog dispatches from Copenhagen, and our Copenhagen Metro Ads.

Oceana presented the following new Google Earth tour of the Arctic, narrated by board member Ted Danson. The tour highlights the impacts of climate change on Arctic people and ecoystems, particularly melting sea ice, ocean acidification and increasing industrialization.

OneClimate interviewed Oceana climate scientist Ellycia Harrould-Kolieb about corals and ocean acidification.

Oceana's Pacific science director, Dr. Jeffrey Short, discussed the consequences of an increasingly acidic ocean with Hub Culture.

Finally, in this video, Oceana chief scientist Mike Hirshfield answers questions about overfishing and ocean acidification in Copenhagen.
