Campaign Manager, Climate and Energy Campaign

I grew up near Boston and spent many a summer’s day at beautiful Crane Beach. I remember nothing but fun and frolic for every moment we spent on the sand and in the water. My mother would repeat, “I love the beach, I just love the beach.” It was tacitly understood in my family that the beach and the ocean were special places, to be revered and protected.
I have had many more moments over my years in which I have been inspired by the awesome nature of the open ocean. To my senses, nothing else on this planet provides such a perspective. Indeed, only the stars compare.
I started doing political work for the environment in 1996. I have had the pleasure of working on successful campaigns to protect ancient forests, rushing rivers, and critical recycling programs. But the oceans are the founding feature of this planet and will remain long after the forests and rivers have retreated. It is with great pride that I go to work every day to stand up for the beaches, coastlines, and marine wildlife of Earth’s defining characteristic.
