Anjuna Beach

Anjuna Beach is one of the most scenic and popular of the renowned string of beaches that lie on the coast of the Indian State of Goa. The beach has an undulating shape and is broken up into several sections by rocky outcrops that jut into the sea. By reducing rip currents and cross-currents, these outcrops help to make Anjuna one of the safest swimming beaches on the Goa coast. During the monsoon season, from June to September, much of the beach sand is stripped away and carried offshore by heavy wave action, but after the monsoons, calmer seas restore the sand deposits.
