Corals the world over are well known for sustaining an astonishing variety of life. A lesser known fact is that two-thirds of these coral species live in the deep sea. From bright-white knobs to massive crimson trees, deep sea corals show an amazing diverisity. Some are stony and stand tall while others sway with the current. Some build huge reefs while others remain solitary. Whatever form they take, corals are an important part of the deep sea.
