SALMON
Wild salmon are born in fresh water, then migrate to the oceans. Research has shown most wild salmon return to the streams they were born in when they spawn, after a journey that could be as long as a thousand miles. Farmed salmon, unlike their wild brethren, spend their entire lives in pens and are quite fatty. Scientists have estimated that it takes more than three pounds of wild fish to create one pound of salmon.
