THE SOLUTION
The good news is, it’s not too late to save our oceans. Rather than waiting for worldwide resolutions, we can bring about change on national levels, thanks to the Law of the Sea. And, because we know which practices are hurting our oceans, we can change the way we fish. We know we need to stop:
  • Overfishing our oceans. We need to set quotas grounded in science.
  • Destroying vital habitats. We need to ban destructive bottom trawling.
  • Wasting non-targeted marine life. We need to reduce the needless, accidental catch of marine wildlife.
Oceana is the largest international group focused solely on ocean conservation. We’re campaigning to make these things happen.
