Anne Schroeer is a Director in Oceana’s Global Strategic Initiatives team for Oceana based in Madrid.
She has planned and run campaigns for the organization including curbing plastics in EU oceans, protecting sharks, fighting overfishing and illegal fishing and ending fishing subsidies. Anne also founded and led the organization’s Baltic office in Copenhagen, Denmark, where her team worked on expanding Marine Protected Areas and limiting overfishing. Before joining Oceana, Anne worked for Greenpeace International and the Pew Charitable Trusts. Anne holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration and a Master of Arts in Culture and Media from the University of Lueneburg.
