Danika graduated magna cum laude from the University of California Berkeley in 2012 with a degree in Environmental Science.
In May 2018, she earned her J.D. from UCLA School of Law where she was awarded the Emmett Family Scholarship in Environmental Law and was elected to the Order of the Coif. While in law school, she authored Soil Conservation in California: An Analysis of The Healthy Soils Initiative, which was published in the Environmental Law Review Syndicate. Before joining Oceana, Danika clerked for Natural Resources Defense Council and the California Department of Justice, in the Natural Resources section. Danika has been passionate about the natural world and environmental stewardship since childhood when she founded her 4th grade classroom’s first ever recycling program. She loves biking, hiking, farmer’s markets, and the sun.
