Rodrigo has a degree in Oceanography and a Masters in Environmental Science and Technology.
Throughout his career, he worked as a fisheries scientist at the University of Itajaí Valley (UNIVALI) between 2002 and 2008. He also worked as a consultant for the Ministry of Fisheries and Aquaculture, focused on the development of tools and analysis of VMS data for fisheries management. Has experience in fisheries monitoring leading a fishery statistics program in the State of Espírito Santo. In addition to having worked in the management of oceanic industrial fishing in Brazil, coordinating the tuna’s FMC. Having worked in different areas he accumulated knowledge about the fishing activity and now he is assisting Oceana to improve fisheries management in Brazil.
