Oceana’s Development Department is looking for a Vice President of Institutional Giving to lead all institutional fundraising for Oceana. This includes the development and implementation of prospecting strategies for securing and stewarding new institutional donors, including private, public, community, family and corporate foundations to maximize philanthropic investment in Oceana’s campaigns. The Vice President will be a member of—and work closely with--the Executive Committee of Oceana, representing country leaders and senior management of the organization.
Reporting to the Chief of Staff in the Office of the President, the Vice President of Institutional Giving will manage a team focused on raising approximately 70 percent of Oceana’s annual revenue and contributing to the strategic development of new campaigns and initiatives. The Vice President will be responsible for building an effective team, with clear goals, accountabilities, systems, and opportunities for growth and development. This is a full-time position based in Washington, DC headquarters.
