Alysa joined Oceana in March 2026 as a Paralegal supporting both compliance and litigation in the Legal Department.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Master of Arts in Teaching Secondary Social Studies from Loyola University Maryland. Prior to Oceana, Alysa worked for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Maryland as a Paralegal in the civil division, where she gained valuable experience in case management, legal research, and complex litigation. A Philadelphia native, Alysa enjoys traveling, exploring D.C.– often with her dog, Jimmy, and cheering for her hometown teams, the Eagles and Phillies! She is enthusiastic to contribute her legal administrative skills to Oceana’s mission of protecting and restoring the world’s oceans.
