Danny leads the Defend Municipal Waters for Artisanal Fishers Campaign to protect the preferential rights of small fisherfolk in coastal waters and the important ecosystems that support fisheries.​

​Before joining Oceana, Danny was the Sustainable Agriculture campaigner of Greenpeace in Southeast Asia, working to stop the environmental release and the risk from genetically modified organisms in food. He is passionate about conservation issues, lobbying for better policies in fisheries and coastal management and advocating energy reform in previous NGOs he worked with. He is also a renowned underwater photographer and has received awards for his work and advocacy for ethical and responsible diving practices. ​
