Izzy joined Oceana as Habitats and Fisheries Campaigner in the UK in March 2026.

With an integrated master’s degree in Genetics from University College London (UCL), Izzy combines her scientific background, experience in communications, and love of the ocean to advocate for healthy, thriving seas. She recently returned to the UK from Australia, where she built a communications department for one of Australia’s leading ocean plastics charities. Prior to that, she led the campaigns team at Surfers Against Sewage during a pivotal time for UK water quality campaigning. Based near our office in Newquay, Cornwall, Izzy can often be found in the water, surfing, snorkeling, or at the surf lifesaving club.
