Mae Chatto

Campaign Specialist

Oceana Staff

Mae is currently handling Restore Mangrove Forests campaign and political outreach for all campaigns.

Prior to joining Oceana, she was a chief of staff at the House of Representatives and has also worked as head secretariat of a social advocacy group, Families for Truth, Justice and Peace. Aside from the government and civil society, her career also spanned across the private sector and international development organizations, with a short stint in the media.

She earned her Bachelor of Arts Major in Communication Arts degree from Ateneo de Davao University and Master’s in Public Administration Major in Public Policy from University of the Philippines-Diliman.

Outside work, she likes to explore new places or stay home doing art (painting), which to her is vacation without going anywhere. Weird as it may sound but espionage series and films are her staple to shed off stress.
