Brianne is the Pacific GIS Analyst in Oceana’s Juneau, Alaska office. Her GIS, mapping, and analytical expertise support Oceana’s campaigns from the Arctic to the California Current. Her work has helped win victories such as stopping offshore drilling in the Arctic or protecting important areas in the Bering Strait. She has also worked extensively on Oceana’s Important Ecological Areas Atlas projects to define marine hotspots in the North Pacific. Brianne graduated from Western Washington University with a degree in Physical Geography, Natural Resources Planning, and GIS. Whether analyzing data or using her creative side to design compelling maps and graphics, she enjoys harnessing the power of GIS to tell a story. An avid outdoors-woman, Brianne loves any opportunity to play outside, be active, and explore Southeast Alaska’s amazing wilderness. She currently resides in Juneau, Alaska with her husband and two loveable mutts, Queso and Yukon.
