John joined Oceana in August 2024 as Executive Assistant to the Vice President for the United States.

Inspired at a young age by stories of pollution, John has always been dedicated to environmental causes. Before joining Oceana, John interned across the nonprofit and government space where he contributed to efforts on plastic pollution and chemical safety issues. John holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Communication from George Washington University and is committed to addressing critical environmental issues throughout his career. Outside of work, John volunteers with the American Red Cross as a Blood Donor Ambassador where he assists in ensuring a positive experience for blood donors. John also enjoys running, meeting new people and reading about his interests in mythology, government and environmental science. Growing up around the United States, John loves to share stories of his experiences living in different states.
