Lindsay Brubaker

Illegal Fishing & Transparency Fellow

Oceana Staff

Lindsay joined Oceana as an Illegal Fishing and Transparency Fellow in September 2024.

Lindsay holds an M.A. in Marine Affairs from the University of Rhode Island, where her research focused on the national Land Back movement and implications for the coastal Narragansett Tribe and partners at the Tomaquag Museum. Her B.A. is in Environmental Studies and East Asian Studies from Oberlin College, and as an undergraduate student she also enjoyed sailing in New Zealand through S.E.A. Semester as well as intensive language study in Japan through the State Department. Lindsay is excited to be back in the DMV area and worked here previously in environmental grants management through the Chesapeake Bay Trust. In her free time, you can find her embroidering, cooking overly complicated recipes from Instagram, spoiling her cat Mochi, and camping.
