Lauren obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Fisheries and Marine Sciences from the University of Alaska Fairbanks, where she assisted in research projects focused on fish species in the Beaufort Sea and Gulf of Alaska.

Prior to joining Oceana, Lauren worked with the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, helping to lead a long-standing salmon stock assessment project and assisting in the management of sport fisheries on Alaska’s Kenai Peninsula. She is committed to advancing marine conservation and fisheries sustainability and is enthusiastic about contributing to Oceana’s crucial North Pacific campaigns.
