Manager, International Communications

Do you want to leave your mark on the world and help protect and restore the world’s oceans? Oceana is seeking an International Communications Manager to support Oceana’s public relations efforts and raise the organization’s global profile.  

Key responsibilities include placing strategic media hits for the organization, securing interviews for Oceana experts, tracking and distributing media hits to key organizational leaders, and managing the department’s Communications Intern.  

The ideal candidate is a media relations professional with a proven track record of earning strategic media placements and building successful relationships with journalists. This role demands a strong communicator with excellent writing, editing, and organization skills with a keen attention to detail. They are a creative thinker with a problem-solving mindset and a strong collaborator who can thrive on fast-paced team under tight deadlines.  

This position is part of a dynamic communications team in Oceana’s Global Marketing and Communications Department.  

This is a full-time position based in Washington, DC. At least 5 years of professional experience is required.

The salary range for this position is $70,000 – $75,000.
