Oceanographer (FURG) and Specialist in Economics and Environment (UFPR). From 2009 to 2016 she worked at Brazilian Federal Agency for fisheries management, having achieved extensive experience in development and implementation of public policies focused on sustainable fisheries development, regulation of fishery resources, and working with regional fisheries management organizations.
Subsequently, she worked as a consultant with non-governmental organizations and with the private fishing sector (production and supply chain).
She is a member of the Sustainable Fisheries Action-Research Team of the Brazilian Ocean Horizon Program (HOB), under the Brazilian Panel for the Future of the Ocean (Painel Mar). HOB is focused on inter-network capacities for working on the interface between knowledge (both scientific and local) and public policies. Painel Mar is a multi-sectoral collaborative platform for individuals and organizations at the knowledge/decision-making interface, aiming at improving policies for the sustainable use and health of the oceans.
