Chile’s farmed salmon industry pollutes pristine coastlines, introduces invasive species and creates ideal conditions for the growth of antibiotic-resistant bacteria. In early December, Oceana released the first company-by-company ranking of antibiotic use — an important first step to getting the Chilean salmon industry to clean up its act.
