Senior Manager, Donor Communications and Stewardship

Here’s an opportunity to join a collaborative, experienced, and effective team responsible for raising approximately 65% of Oceana’s annual revenue. The Senior Manager will lead our small but mighty Foundations team in devising and implementing plans to keep Oceana’s foundation supporters engaged and informed about the results of their philanthropic investment. You will be supported by strong US and global Communications, a Science team, and other groups at Oceana that generate written and visual materials we use for compelling communications to our foundation funders.

We are looking for a self-starter, an excellent writer, and a quick study with an interest in ocean issues and in helping us demonstrate our impact to funders. Key responsibilities for this position are: creating and driving our team’s donor stewardship plan; writing timely and compelling stewardship pieces; developing innovative approaches for funder engagement with our on the ground teams, creating and maintaining a library on Oceana’s campaign issues such as habitat protection, fisheries management, and ocean pollution; regularly attending relevant meetings with other Oceana teams; and supporting senior management in all aspects of foundation fundraising.

This is a full-time position based in Washington, DC. The salary range for this position is $90,000 to $ 105,000 annually.
