Anne Jastrzebski

Illegal Fishing & Transparency Analyst

Oceana Staff

Anne joined Oceana’s Illegal Fishing and Transparency team in 2023.

Her work focuses on analyzing human activity at sea, tracking vessels and investigating their behavior to support Oceana’s campaigns around the world. Throughout her years at Oceana, Anne has supported transparency, habitat, responsible fishing, energy, and species protection efforts through data-driven reports, visualizations, and research. Prior to joining Oceana, she worked down at the other end of fishing (the eating side) in food marketing and partnerships with companies ranging from startups to a celebrity chef’s media company to a cheese magazine. She holds an MSc from Newcastle University and BAs from Boston University. In her free time, Anne nurtures her Duolingo streak, packs and eats picnics in the park regardless of the weather, and enjoys open-water swimming in a way that is extremely weather-dependent.
