Jagannath (Jag) Griffiths joined Oceana in May 2023 as the Executive Assistant for the Global Marketing and Communications team.

Before joining Oceana, Jag spent the last five years supporting the work at the Convergence Center for Policy Resolution, working as the Executive Assistant to the President and Executive Vice President. Prior to that, he worked as a program assistant at the World Bank, supporting education projects in the Latin America and Caribbean regions. Jag graduated with a bachelor’s degree in English and Communications from Marymount University. Jag is originally from Peru, where he spent much of his childhood enjoying many trips to beach with family and friends, learning to love the ocean from a young age! As a lifelong vegetarian, he is very passionate about environmental causes and conservation efforts. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, reading, attending plays, and spending time with his fiancé and their two pugs, Biscuit and Olive.
