Joaquín Rodrigo Garza Pérez
PhD in Marine Sciences
I am Rodrigo Garza, a professor at UMDI-Faculty of Sciences Sisal, which is part of the National Autonomous University of Mexico.
I specialize in the assessment of coral reefs through remote sensors and geographic information systems that help make decisions for the management of these ecosystems.
Part of my work on the Project Alacranes expedition will be to collect digital images of the reef that will allow us to obtain information about its structure and function, as well as the condition of benthic communities.
I am excited to be part of this work because the Alacranes Reef is one of my favorite places on the planet, it is a reef system that deserves to be known and protected.
