Macarena joined Oceana as Director of Finance and Administration in March 2022 in Chile.

Her passion for the oceans started at an early age as she grew up on a coastal town in Argentina and spend a lot of time by the sea.

Macarena is a Certified Public Accountant with over 15 years’ experience working for a variety of organizations in the public and private sector. After graduating from university, she lived in Australia for almost a decade, where she worked mainly in accounting public practices and Non-Profit organizations. While in Chile, she worked in the finance departments of Diplomatic missions until joining Oceana. In her spare time, Macarena enjoys outdoor activities and cooking.
