Paola joined Oceana in May 2022 as the Development team’s new Global Events Coordinator. In her position, Paola assists the events team with Oceana’s signature events inclusive of the New York Gala and SeaChange Summer Party, among others. Paola is based in Washington D.C.

Prior to joining Oceana, Paola worked as an International Programs Coordinator at the American University Washington College of Law for seven years where she managed several successful events, programs, and courses, while collaborating with different offices and stakeholders.

Paola was born in Lima, Perú where she studied Marine Biology. She then graduated with a BA from the University of Maryland with honors and went on to earn her MA in Strategic Communications with a specialization in Advocacy and Social Change from American University.

Paola enjoys quality time with family and friends, time spent in nature, working with dogs, photography, and traveling.
