Graduating in Journalism at the Paulista State University (Unesp), Patrícia has over 20 years of experience in communication for socio-environmental and human rights causes with relevant social movements, organizations and networks of Brazilian civil society.

She sees communication as a powerful tool for the necessary shift towards a free, fair and solidarity-based society. Therefore, Patrícia has dedicated her life to working with traditional communities and Indigenous Peoples throughout the five regions of Brazil, with a deeper immersion in the Amazon. Now she took on the mission of contributing to the protection of another passion – the vast and still so unknown ocean –, having the communities of fishers spread across the immense Brazilian coast as her main source of inspiration.
