Originally from Rochester, NY, Steff joined Sailors for the Sea as Communications Manager in February 2025.

Their passion for the ocean began as a child searching for shark teeth in Florida, a love that only grew stronger over time, leading them to get tattoos of various marine animals. They’ve called coastal places like Key West and Miami, FL, Portland, OR, Salem, MA, and Providence, RI home. Before joining Sailors for the Sea, Steff worked in community management, communications, and social media roles in Oregon and Massachusetts. Now, they’re eager to embark on the next chapter of their lifelong ocean adventure with Sailors for the Sea. In their free time, Steff enjoys exploring local thrift shops and breweries with their wife, Olive, and dog, Mr. Darcy Joan Watson.
